As a self-proclaimed bookworm, I feel that my blog should have book reviews coz that's what my life is about right? Heh. After quite a while, I've started reading again.
Hence, I've decided to do a book review today.
The book is titled Pierced by Thomas Enger. This book's genre is crime/mystery. For the faint hearted or squeamish readers, do not fret! There are no descriptive gory scenes in this book. Pierced was originally written in Norwegian but was translated to English.
Pierced is actually the second book in the series. It is about a journalist named Henning Juul who solves mysteries when he writes them for the newspaper company he works for. When I purchased this book, I did not know this was the second one. While reading it, there were some parts where I couldn't understand as it had already happened in the first book. However, the author, Enger, frequently reminds the reader regarding incidences that happened in the previous book.
I recommend this book for readers who love fast-paced plots and those who love the thrilling suspense of the what-might-happen. This book can be purchased at Book Xcess, Amcorp, Malaysia for less than RM20. I give this back a rating of 7/10.
